The post Birthday Lookup: How To Find Someone’s Birthday appeared first on Cocospy Blog.
]]>Knowing someone’s birthday can be of extreme importance at times. I have seen relationships break due to missed birthdays and people fall apart.
However, if you wish to know someone’s birthday, what can you do? You cannot ask them of course, unless you want to seem like a fool.
Therefore, I have created this guide with some quick ways through which you can know anybody’s birthday within seconds!
Here are some ways to find someone’s birthday for free quickly!
TruthFinder is a database of all the information about people around the world. You can find anyone’s identity and know so much about them through this search engine.
It is a web based service and you can look up for any person by searching for them through a variety of criteria. These include:
You can search people by entering their first name, last name, and city. TruthFinder will pull up all the identities that match these criteria.
One of the most used features of TruthFinder. It is especially helpful if you want to know the age of someone you just met and all you know for sure is their phone number.
You can enter their phone number here and TruthFinder will bring all the identities that match the criteria.
You can also search for someone’s identity just with their address. A very convenient feature if you wish to know more about a complete stranger and you don’t have much to go by.
Now that you know how flexible it is to use, check out these simple steps to find someone’s birthday through TruthFinder.
Searching for someone through TruthFinder is the easiest thing you could do. Here are the steps:
Step 1: Go to TruthFinder website.
Step 2: Choose the search method you want based on the information you have. It can be reverse phone lookup, reverse address lookup, or name search.
Step 3: Hit ‘Search’ and give TruthFinder a few seconds to get the data.
You will find all the search results on your screen that fulfil the criteria. The information even includes their past addresses.
If you want to view more details or do an in depth background check, you can select ‘VIew All Details’. This will do a complete background check of the person and even give you their criminal records (if any).
TruthFinder is linked to numerous public databases that have information about most of the people (including you and me). When you search for a person, it browses through all these databases to give you the results that you require.
This is only made possible by the powerful processing power of the search engine. Imagine having to go through billions of records through the traditional means. How much time would it have taken?
But TruthFinder gives you the results within a minute.
If you feel that it is the thing that you want, you can search for anyone by going to their website here. You should even try searching for yourself!
Instant Checkmate is another useful tool that you can use to find so much about any person including their birthday.
Similar to TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate offers you the option to search for anyone through their Phone number, address, or their name.
The best thing about Instant Checkmate is the amount of information it can provide you about anyone’s identity. The information they give includes name, address, social media accounts, relatives, birthday, age, and so much more.
And this is not just limited to the present state of the person. They can also provide you with their previous known addresses and phone numbers.
The steps to use Instant Checkmate is same as that of TruthFinder. The only difference is that you would have to go to Instant Checkmate’s website here.
Once you are there, the rest is a piece of cake. You can search for anyone by choosing the information you have about them.
Instant Checkmate will give you all the basic information about anyone for free. However, if you want to do a thorough background check, you would have to subscribe to the service.
There are occurrences where the person’s details are not present in the public records. It can happen due to a variety of reasons.
In such cases, the above two methods might not be able to provide you with someone’s birthday. Here are some ways that will help you out in these cases:
Facebook can help you a lot when you wish to know about anyone’s birthday. With the enormous popularity of Facebook, everybody is everybody’s friend.
Therefore, if you are curious about someone’s birthday, it is a good chance that you are Facebook friends with the person. Well, in case you are, you can use Facebook to know when their birthday is.
The best way to use Facebook to find someone’s birthday is going through their wall (and pray they don’t post very often). You will probably find old posts of other people wishing them birthday on their Facebook wall.
This method could work even if someone is not your Facebook friend. Many people keep such posts public and everyone can see them.
However, the success rate of this method isn’t as high as Instant Checkmate or TruthFinder. So use it only if you are stuck.
You can manipulate conversations to make the other person reveal their birthday. This can be done if you are smart enough to make a clever conversation.
Don’t go around directly shooting the question about when their birthday is. This is going to make them realize you do not remember it.
However, you could ask them other things about their birthday, like ‘Does your birthday falls on a weekend this year?’ They might start calculating and give away the date.
If they counter question, you can even make up excuses like you are asking just so you could party with them. It is going to keep you safe!
If nothing else works, the last way you could use is asking someone else. This could be a mutual friend or a relative of that person.
However, you have to ascertain that the person you ask is trustworthy enough. They should not tell the other person that you forgot their birthday.
Use this only as a last resort as this method could expose your fallacy in remembering someone’s birthday.
If you find out someone’s birthday, don’t let the effort go to waste. Make sure you celebrate it well enough to remember it the next time!

]]>The post The FastPeopleSearch Review: Giving Established Names a Run for Their Money appeared first on Cocospy Blog.
]]>At times like these, you could recruit a people-search business. These businesses specialize in finding and retrieving information about someone like contact details. They also provide other useful services like background checks.
FastPeopleSearch is the new kid on the block in the information-retrieval industry. At first glance, the company offers a promising array of services for cheap. Are they worth checking out, though? Should you trust them with your money?
We do a full-fledged review of FastPeopleSearch to help you decide if they’re worth your time.
The FastPeopleSearch Company, as we mentioned, is very new. They were registered less than 2 years ago – August of 2017, to be precise. They have an alternate business name listed: Mississippi Tornado Alley LLC.
The company doesn’t have much of an online presence. An official social media handle and brief mentions on review sites, but that’s about it. It does have a BBB listing with an “A” rating, though, which we believe makes them legit.
The FastPeopleSearch Company, according to them, was founded to bring you Telephony and Big-Data access. Like other similar businesses, they provide you with public records information online in an easy-to-peruse format.
Their USP appears to be their 100% free people search reports, which we admit is almost unheard of. They do offer paid searches, which we’ll get into later. Also, they have a “Safe Share” technology which is supposed to let you keep family safe.
What sort of services does FastPeopleSearch offer? And how effective are these services when compared to the services offered by the competition? Before we answer the second question, here’s an overview of their services:
People most often turn to a data-as-a-service provider when they want someone found. It could be an acquaintance they met recently or an old flame they’re desperately trying to track down. That’s where People Search comes in.
The People Search service offered by FastPeopleSearch allows you to look up a person by their name and street address. The service will potentially retrieve the targets contact numbers, current address, business address, and more.
The People Search service is offered free of cost, no registration required. You won’t find many other background-check businesses willing to provide information for free.
A reverse phone lookup is similar to a name lookup. Instead of trying to find a person by his or her name, you input the phone number. Any contact information linked to the phone number is then retrieved for you.
This service is most often used when someone is targeted by scammers or pranksters from an unknown number. You can find the identity of the person on the other end of the line.
Occasionally, spouses will use this service to find out who their partner keeps calling. Sometimes a concerned parent may reverse lookup a number to ensure their child isn’t in contact with a sexual offender or scam artist.
Just like name and phone lookup, you can look up someone via their current address. The FastPeopleSearch server will then compare the address with the records in its database and retrieve linked information.
To use the service, you need the full address of a particular location. This includes a street address, the city, the state, and the ZIP code. If you know the general area, you can use Google to find the exact address.
The Address Lookup service will return the names of the person living in the property. You’ll also get a look at the person’s other publically-available information, like previous residence history, financial info, and more.
The “Safe Share” service is more of an add-on feature than a standalone service. If you find out troubling information about someone you know, you can spread the word quickly via “Safe Share”. It’s designed to make life easy for you.
What do we mean by troubling information? An acquaintance may have a heinous criminal record. And while you know now, your friends and family still don’t. With “Safe Share”, you can notify them quickly.
So how does FastPeopleSearch hold up in the services department when compared with competitors? They offer a very limited selection of services. The competition usually offers twice as many.
Having said that, FastPeopleSearch offers the most critical services, which is what most people are after anyway. You don’t get any bells-and-whistles, apart from Safe Share, but you probably won’t notice.
How much does FastPeopleSearch cost? What do you get for the money? Do they charge more than the competition or less? How do their pricing plans work? We’ll answer all the questions for you.
First up, here’s an overview of their various payment plans
You can choose to pay every time you generate and download a report on FastPeopleSearch. The People Search basic report is free as we mentioned. But if you want a Background Check report, you need to pay for it.
How much does the Background Check report cost? It’s $29.95 per report. The report provides a pretty comprehensive amount of information, including public records, contact information, birth details, criminal offenses, and more.
Don’t want to pay every time you want to search and download a report on someone? You could choose to purchase the 1-month reports membership instead. For the price, you get to generate an unlimited number of reports.
1-month membership costs $19.95 the first month and $29.95 thereafter. It’s a much better deal than purchasing a single report. However, note that your membership auto-renews every month, so don’t forget to cancel.
The 3 months membership is the best deal, overall. You can sign up for an unlimited number of reports for 3 months for $38.85. Choose this if you’re looking for information on multiple people, like your old high school class.
Finally, FastPeopleSearch allows you to try their services for $1 for 5 days. You can generate an unlimited number of reports in that. If you don’t cancel before the 5-day period, though, you get charged $29.95/month.
Note that the $1 trial offer is a limited time offer and not easy to find. You need to generate a report and follow the prompts until you get to the checkout page. Don’t pay just yet! Wait around for a few minutes and the offer will pop up.
Your purchased membership or trail will renew automatically each month. To opt out, you have to cancel it manually. FastPeopleSearch asks that you call customer care to cancel when signing up for a membership.
Surprisingly, we couldn’t find a listed contact number for the company. Instead, there’s a customer care form on the website you can fill in. We assume you can cancel that way. If not, you may have to ironically look up their number.

How accurate are the reports generated by FastPeopleSearch? Are they worth the money? We found the company to be a mixed bag when it comes to report accuracy.
Some customers raved about how accurate and in-depth the reports were. Others complained that FastPeopleSearch found a completely different person than the one they were after.
People search companies usually turn up 70-80% accurate info. The rest of the info tends to be outdated or misleading. That’s why fact-checking is essential even if you think you’ve received an accurate report.
Note, though, some companies have better search algorithms than others. They manage to retrieve accurate, relevant info more often than not. FastPeopleSearch is new and still working on refining its search results.
Is FastPeopleSearch customer care any good? We found them to be active enough on complaint-airing-and-redressal websites. They responded to the handful of customer complaints and sorted them out pretty quickly.
However, note that fastpeoplesearch.com doesn’t list a customer care contact number or email addresses. They have a support form for you to fill out, though. You can send your questions or complaints through it.
Want to try out FastPeopleSearch? The process is pretty straightforward. First, you need to initiate either a name, phone, or address search. You’ll be given some free info. You need to pay for a full report.
To search for someone by name, enter their name and location. The last name is compulsory, but the full name and location help narrow down the search area. Once you’ve entered the details, click on search.
For a reverse phone lookup, you need to click on the Phone icon in the search box and enter the unknown phone number. Then click on search.
If you’re looking up an address, click on the Address icon. In the first search box, type the street address. In the second box, type in the city, state, and zip code. Click search.
For all three cases, a free report will be generated for you. It includes all publically available information linked to your free query. You have the choice to view a full background report, for which you pay a one-time fee or sign up for a monthly plan.
If you want to view the full background report, you’ll be asked to enter your email address and be given the option to create a password for an account. You’ll also have to enter your card details.
FastPeopleSearch uses a server and a proprietary algorithm to search through public records. These records are digitized and available online. Results are arranged in a report format for you to read.
FastPeopleSearch claims that it carries out 100 million searches per month and generates 3.3M results a day. It has access to over 16.5 billion records.
The company can’t access offline records. Some background-check businesses offer court runners, but FastPeopleSearch doesn’t.
We can recommend FastPeopleSearch. It’s transparent and cheap, though they don’t have a lot of services on offer. Their free People Search is a must try. You get $5 worth of information completely free.

]]>The post The People Smart Review: Impressive, Trustworthy Information Retrieval Service appeared first on Cocospy Blog.
]]>Of course, not all information-retrieval and background check companies are reliable. Many promise the moon but fail to deliver. Is People Smart reliable? Should you purchase a report from them? We review them to help you find out.
People Smart is based in Redwood City, California. They’re the child company of Inflection, which specializes in public record filtering, sourcing, and analyzing. Inflection has been in the big data business for over 12 years.
People Smart wants to help you find old friends, get in touch with new ones, and expand your network. It also labels itself as a “Public Data Privacy Advocate”. They offer a myriad of helpful article on data privacy on their website.
The company provides the usual people lookup services. They sift through “billion” of public records to find your target. The gathered information is presented to you in an easy-to-read format. They also claim to have affordable plans.
What can People Smart do for you? The company provides several services, all revolving around data retrieval. Here’s a quick explanation of the services offered:
People search lookup service allows you to find lost acquaintances, friends, classmates, loves, and family members. This is almost always the most in-demand service from businesses like the People Smart. It’s also usually priced the cheapest.
To use People lookup, you need the name of the person you’re looking for, at the very least. You don’t need a first name but it helps narrow down the search field. The same goes for the person’s location.
Once you initiate the search and pay for it, you’ll be given a list of names the company has found that best match your search criteria.
Phone lookup services are also enormously popular. If you have someone’s phone number, you can find their approximate location and name. This is a good way to screen creditors, telemarketers, and pesky acquaintances.
With reverse phone lookup, you can check if a call is worth returning. This service is also used by people who screen their partners to see if they’re cheating or parents who’re trying to keep their children away from undesirable influences.
The Email search service allows you to find someone’s name by their email address. It will also match you with their social media profiles if they have any. You can screen out telemarketers and append your contacts this way.
People Smart does not, unfortunately, provide a direct email search service. By that, we meant they don’t let you find someone’s email if you have their full name. This service is offered by some popular information retrieval businesses.
Want to learn more about those mysterious people in your neighborhood? You can use the reverse address lookup search to find information on them. The service will check property records for the targets’ personal information.
The property records searched are the same ones that appraisers and lenders have access to. Consequently, you can also guess at someone’s net worth with this service. You may also be able to see if a property may be up for sale.
Not all public records are digitized or uploaded to the net yet. Most information lookup businesses that ply their trade online only allow you to access digitized records. People Smart, however, goes a step further with its court runners.
What are court runners? They are people who retrieve non-digitized records for you in the physical world – say from a county courthouse. People Smart maintains a large Court Runner network.
Identity theft is rampant these days. As you may be aware, most of your personal information is easily accessible to anyone online. If you can use a service like People Smart, so can anyone else – and they may not always have good intentions.
With IdentitySmart protection, People Smart will monitor your public records on your behalf, including credit accounts and email addresses. If someone accesses them, you get an alert. You will also be insured for $1 mil against ID theft.
The final service offered by People Smart is free. It’s called the People Directory and it’s very similar to old-school white pages. Via the directory, you can look up people manually.
Results are arranged by surname. You can further narrow down results by state. Depending on the popularity of the surname, you’ll likely get a multi-page list of people to look through. You also get their detailed personal info.
Now you know what People Smart has to offer. But how much do you need to pay for their services? People Smart has three pricing tiers:
Not interested in signing up for a membership? You can purchase reports individually. Contact reports are $4.95 and full-fledged Background Reports are $49.95. The IdentitySmart protection we mentioned earlier costs $14.95 per month.
People Smart allows you to opt for a 7-day free trial. You get to purchase reports from them without signing up for a membership. However, note that you need to cancel the trial manually before the 7-day trial period ends.
The company offers a full refund if you don’t find what you’re after, which scores major brownie points with us. You need to contact their customer service for a refund.
People Smart is expensive – but you get what you pay for. Note that people have complained about being charged a membership fee during the supposedly-free 7-day trial period, so be careful to read the fine print.
The People Smart membership renews automatically each month. That’s why you need to cancel it manually. To cancel, you need to sign in to your account. After that, look for the “My Account” tab on the top-right.
Once you’re in the “My Account” page, choose the “Membership” option and then “Cancel Membership”. You’ll be asked for reasons why you’re canceling and if you’re sure you want to proceed. That’s it!
Unlike some information retrieval businesses, People Smart doesn’t make you jump through hoops to have your membership canceled. The process is pretty simple, which is a point in People Smart’s favor.
Check People Smart’s alternative people search service TruePeopleSearch here >>
People Smart is one of the best services we have come across when it comes to data accuracy. You will find the person you’re looking for almost every time – which is rarely the case when you use an information lookup service.
The reports you receive are full-fledged and detailed. There are little to no discrepancies. The reports are well-laid-out and intuitive. There are tabs at the top that provide different sorts of information about a person.
Information in reports is arranged by categories. Some category examples are criminal and court, contact information, ownership, licenses, and bankruptcies and liens. This will depend on the sort of report you purchased.
The People Smart engine has a tendency to generate duplicate records. For example, if a person has a single traffic violation, People Smart may display 3. But this is easy enough to straighten out and is a minor flaw, all in all.
People Smart provides average customer service. You can reach them by phone, email, or postal mail. If you want to call, dial 888-813-0008. They’re available Monday-Friday, 8AM-6PM CST.
If you want to email them, they have a customer service form for you to fill out. They ask for your full name, order number, and email address. You’ll also have to describe your issue briefly. Then, wait for their response.
Finally, you can send them a snail mail or postal mail. Their address is PeopleSmart, P.O. Box 391146, Omaha, NE 68139. Needless to say, don’t expect a quick response if you contact them this way.
PeopleSmart doesn’t have a mobile app. They also aren’t available 24/7, either via phone or live chat. Finally, PeopleSmart doesn’t list a customer care service number on its website. We had to dig it up on an affiliated site.
Peoplesmart.com is well-designed and intuitive. You can immediately start using one of their 4 most popular services – People, Phone, Email, and Address – by typing a query in the search bar. For other services, you need a membership.
To get to the other reports or services, you need to initiate a search. After the service turns up records for the person, you’ll be asked to purchase a membership and create an account. Alternatively, you can purchase individual reports.
When you sign up for a membership, you will receive a certain number of monthly searches. The $19.95 monthly plan, for example, allows you to look up 10 phone numbers and emails. The company will also send out physical letters on your behalf.
If you’re a corporate user, they have a special corporate Pro plan that costs $99.99. For the money, you get 250 phone number searches, 250 email address searches, and 500 emails sent out on your behalf.
How does People Smart work? They use a customized search engine to look through digitized public records. The closest result is retrieved. All the information gathered is packed together in a single report.
People Smart is also one of the rare few information lookup services that offer the services of a court runner. You’ll be able to look up offline records with their help.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s good and bad about the People Smart service:
People Smart is hands down one of the best information services around. They offer high-accuracy, in-depth reports – and full refunds for wrong ones. Their website is easy to use and you know exactly what you’re paying for.

]]>The post US Search Review appeared first on Cocospy Blog.
]]>US Search is one such background check company that offers its services online. They have been around for a while and are generally considered effective by the majority of their users.
Should you pay US Search to conduct a background check for you? Are they worth your precious time and hard-earned cash? We do an in-depth review on the company to help you make an informed decision!
US Search is operated by a parent company called PeopleConnect, Inc. The company is based in Seattle, Washington. US Search was born out of a merger of a social networking company Classmates and a people-profiling company Intelius.
US Search was made with a simple motto: providing well-organized, in-depth, empowering profiles about people. The company is currently helmed by Abani Heller, who has over 10 years of experience in executive roles.
For the most part, US Search lives up to its motto. It gathers information about people online and shares it with you in an easy-to-access report format. You can generate people profiles on their website in a handful of minutes.
What kind of information can US Search dig up for you? They offer an array of information-retrieval services:
With the People Search service, you can find lost family, old friends, relatives, and other acquaintances. To locate the person you’ve lost, you need to furnish at least a last name. A first name and current city/state help refine the search.
What kind of information does the People Search service turn up? You’ll receive the person’s current address, address history, phone numbers, other contact information, household member details, home value, and more.
Check out US Search’s alternative app TruePeopleSearch
Reverse Phone Lookup allows you to trace unknown callers. You’ll learn the unknown callers name and approximate current location. To use this service, all you need to do is input the unknown number on the US Search website.
Reverse phone lookup services are always in demand. People use it to sometimes keep tabs on who their partners are in constant touch with. Occasionally, parents use the service to ensure their children aren’t in touch with known sex offenders.
Need to find someone’s email address? Or do you have an email address and need to find the owner? With the Email Search service offered by US Search, you can do both. To access the service, you need either an email address or a name.
The service combs through the internet and available public records to generate a list of preview results. If you’re lucky and the information is accessible, you’ll get the address and the phone number of the person you’re trying to find.
Need to find an old friend? Want to learn more about someone you just met? Or are you curious about the photos and videos an acquaintance has shared online? You can use the Social Network Search service for all three.
The Social Network Search service looks through the majority of popular social networking sites, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. You need a last name to initiate the search. A location will narrow down the results.
Want to know if someone owns properties and where? The Property Records service accesses publicly listed property records. These are the same records lenders and appraisers have access to.
The Property Records report allows you to see ownership deeds, property details, and maps. The information should allow you to guess at someone’s net worth. To run a search, you need the target’s current street address, city, and ZIP.
Concerned someone you met recently might have a criminal record? US Search allows you to find out with the criminal records search. To initiate the search, you need the person’s last name at the very least.
What kind of information can US Search find? It digs up conviction records, felonies, sex offenses, misdemeanors, traffic violations, and other major or petty offenses. You can choose to run a State or Federal search.
Finally, US Search also offers a service. This is a comprehensive service. You get a person’s current address, address history, phone number, email address, criminal background records, and more.
You need the target’s last name, at the very least, to begin the search. A first name and the current city/state will help you narrow down the search results.
Is US Search cheap? It’s about average for a background-check company. You can choose to pay per-report or opt for a subscription model. The subscription model allows you to generate unlimited monthly reports.
The per-report pricing varies depending on the service you opt for. For example, the People Search service costs $2.45. A Criminal Check will set you back by $14.95. Finally, the comprehensive Background Check costs $39.95.
The monthly subscription – or OmniSearch membership fee – costs $19.95. You can generate an unlimited number of People and Phone searches for the price. They also offer a quarterly subscription for $49.95.
Note that if you opt to purchase a single report, you are still automatically signed up for the OmniSearch membership by default. Make sure to cancel it within 2 days to avoid being charged the monthly membership fee of $19.95.
We think the US Search pricing plans are reasonable – though they aren’t transparent about their plans. The purchasing process is needlessly complicated, designed to get you subscribe to OmiSearch. They also don’t do refunds.
Canceling a US Search Subscription is simple. You don’t have to contact customer care to do so. Here are the steps to follow:
You can also get in touch with customer care to cancel your subscription.
How accurate is the search data generated by US Search? That depends on whom you ask. Many users complain about the lack of details provided in the reports. Others have nothing but good to say about the information supplied.
From our research, US Search does a better job than average of locating people’s information. Their records are detailed and up-to-date, which is not always the case if you hire a background-check company.
Occasionally, US Search will mess up and send you details about the wrong person. If that happens to you, you can ask for a refund. They may issue you a full refund or give you credit in the form of free searches.
Note that US Search falls short when asked to locate phone numbers, email addresses, relatives, and associates. They either don’t find any information or dig up something inaccurate. It’s better if you pick another service for this.
How good is the US Search customer service? They have a good FAQs section with to-the-point answers to customer queries. You can get answers about reports, accounts, billing, services, subscriptions, and canceling your subscription.
If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can contact the US Search customer care via phone. You also have the option to email them: [email protected]. If you call, make sure to do it between Monday-Friday, 6AM to 6PM Pacific Time.
They don’t have a 24/7 hotline, though, nor do they have a mobile app. Also, their customer service can be snippy, especially if you’re trying for a refund. Expect them to dig their heels in and refuse even legitimate refund cases.
Want to try out US Search? First, you’ll need to decide whether you want a single report or multiple reports. If you want multiple reports, you’re better off purchasing the monthly subscription we mentioned earlier.
Note that the monthly subscription only gives you access to unlimited People Search and Reverse Phone Lookup reports. If you want other reports, you have to pay for each of them separately. All in all, it can set you back by quite a bit.
To use US Search, simply navigate to the website. There, choose the service you want to opt for at the top. Your options are all the services we mentioned before. Alternatively, you can choose to sign up for an account.
Signing up for an account is free. You need to provide them with your full name and email address. You also need to create a unique password. After you’ve signed in, you’ll be asked to purchase subscription to generate a report.
Wondering how US Search works? They use a proprietary algorithm to comb through public records available online. What records do they search through? That depends on the records available and the service you opted for.
Note that US Search can’t search offline records or records not yet uploaded to the internet. It also can’t give you access to records unavailable to the general public. The website is compliant with FCRA regulations.
Is US Search worth your time? Here’s a breakdown of their pros and cons:
US Search generates high-accuracy reports, provided you’re willing to shell out the moolah. Using their various services for multiple searches will cost you a fortune, but at least you’ll get the information you were after.
Note, though, their pricing policy isn’t exactly transparent. If they charge you more, you may have to file a transaction dispute complaint with your bank.

]]>Of course, not all information-retrieval companies are above board. Some are merely scams, providing information that a quick Google search would reveal. Others, however, are legit and provide real, valuable info.
Is PeopleFinders.com a scam? Or are they on the up and up and actually deliver on their promises? To help you answer those questions, we review the company and its various services.
PeopleFinders has been in business for a very long time – 40 years, to be specific. They were founded in Sacramento, California in 1988. They claim to be a leading “DaaS” or Data-as-a-Service provider, a technical term for background-checking.
The company has an A+ business rating on BBB, a notable achievement. They have a solid, established web presence and can be reached easily on the phone. You don’t have to worry about PeopleFinders being a scam – they’re not.
According to PeopleFinders, they’ve run billions of searches in the past 40 years. They have one of the biggest public information databases in the US, not to mention they have built up quite a large info-sharing network till date.
The company tagline is “Find anyone, anywhere”. They claim to be able to connect you to anyone in the country. They also say they provide more accurate and comprehensive reports than the competition. We’ll see if it’s true.
What sort of services does PeopleFinders.com have on offer? And how well do they do when pitted against their competitors? Let’s find out.
First, here’s an overview of PeopleFinders various services:
When most people use a background check services business, they’re looking for someone. It could be a lost friend, acquaintance, old flame, or relative. With the People Search service, they can find whoever it is they’re looking for.
With People Search, you can search through potentially 43 billion U.S. public records for contact information on your target. What kind of information? You could get phone numbers, full names, addresses, and more.
A background check has always been the most thorough sort of check you can carry out on someone. It’s supposed to paint a clear picture of someone’s past and give you a good grasp of his or her personality.
With the Background Check service, PeopleFinders will pull up anyone’s contact details, phone records, property records, assets, criminal history, sexual offender status, and more.
The company claims its servers contain pre-culled profiles of over 250 million adults in the US, with data sourced from local, national, and occasionally private sources. Privacy implications aside, it’s [retty impressive if true.
Before you decide to associate with someone further than having a passing acquaintance, it’s a good idea to verify their criminal background. This is especially crucial if they’re a potential love interest. With some people, you never know.
The Criminal Records check gives you an overview of a person’s possible criminal history. PeopleFinders will pull up information from a nationwide criminal database. You’ll be able to see someone’s minor as well as major transgressions.
You probably know what public records are already, but here’s a quick reminder: They’re non-confidential documents about someone. They generally pertain to all government-related activities the person has ever engaged in.
What are examples of public records? Bankruptcies filed for, marriages and divorces registered, birth and death certificates, census data, assets, court cases, licenses, tax and liens, and criminal records are some common examples of public records.
Companies like PeopleFinders will find all public records related to the target person and share it with you.
Don’t know who’s calling you? You can use the Reverse Phone service to find out who the unknown number is linked to. The Reverse Phone Lookup service will be able to bring up the person’s name, address, and other pertinent info.
Reverse Phone services are popular. People often use them to find spam callers. Sometimes, people use them to see who their partner is always on the phone with. The service is also useful for parents looking out for their children.
So how much does PeopleFinders cost? That depends on whether you want to opt for a full membership or merely purchase an individual report. If you’re searching for info on multiple people, the full membership is cheaper.
For individual reports, the prices vary. A basic People Search or Phone Lookup costs you $1-1.95. A much more thorough Background Check will set you back by $39.95. Note that to download a report, you’re charged $.50 extra.
There are two memberships on offer, a PeopleFinders Membership and a PeopleFinders Premium Membership. Here’s a cost and feature summary:
They also offer a PeopleFinders Rewards add on. If you opt in, you get heavily discounted reports, assisted searches, discounts at local shops and stores, and a free monthly self-background check.
If you’re lucky enough to spot a promotion, you might be able to try out PeopleFinders for less than $3. The trial usually lasts for 3 days. You’ll be charged at monthly membership fee if you don’t cancel within the 3-day period.
Depending on what you opted for, you may still be charged for generating reports. Read the fine print carefully before agreeing to anything. PeopleFinders is good at luring people into paying extra. We don’t think it’s transparent.
Is PeopleFinders affordable? They charge about the market rate. They don’t have discounted quarterly or annual membership plans, though. We also don’t like they charge a 50 cent fee to download an already-purchased report.

Canceling a PeopleFinders subscription isn’t hard, thankfully. Many similar services require you to contact customer care to cancel. However, with PeopleFinders, you can cancel just by logging into your account.
How do you cancel exactly? You’re supposed to login to your account with your registered email and password. In the “My Home” section, click on the “I would like to cancel my Membership” link and follow the prompts.
You can also contact customer care directly. If you send them an email, they respond within 2 or 3 business days, so be sure to contact them will in advance of the end of the membership term.
Do you get what you pay for with PeopleFinders? Are their reports any good? From our research, PeopleFinders is surprisingly accurate. You’ll find what you’re after more often than not. That’s rare for a background-check service.
The company maintains one of the largest people’s record databases in the country. They have access to billions of current and historical records. Some of their information sources are pretty offbeat – like magazine subscriptions.
Of course, PeopleFinders isn’t perfect. Sometimes they’ll pull up records for a different person with the same name. At other times, the records they retrieve will contain factual errors. Occasionally, the information may be out of date.
On the whole, though, PeopleFinders offers one of the most accurate background-check services we’ve come across. Their reports are detailed and well-organized. In case the make a mistake, they’re also usually willing to offer up refunds.
The PeopleFinders Company has a standout customer service, definitely one of the best we’ve ever encountered. Their team has a reputation for being polite, well-behaved, and attentive. They’re also knowledgeable and competent.
You can contact PeopleFinders customer care via phone 7 days a week. The number is (800) 718-8997. They’re available Monday to Friday, from 7AM to 6PM PST. On Saturdays and Sundays, the timing is 7AM to 3:30PM PST.
Alternatively, you can email them. They have a customer contact form on the official website. The final contact method is sending them a postal mail, though this is going to be slow and not recommended.
PeopleFinders does a great job of addressing customer grievances. It wins them many brownie points, both from us and their customers. They’re prompt and polite. Also , they aren’t stingy with the refunds, which we like.
Using PeopleFinders is simple and intuitive. You can choose to initiate a people search or any other offered service immediately. After the server retrieves the data for you, you can purchase an individual report or sign up for a membership.
If you choose to sign up for a membership, you’ll have to furnish your payment details. Once they verify your payment method, you can begin to run searches. Note that you may have to pay extra for some reports, like the background check.
At first, it may appear that PeopleFinders allows you to run an infinite number of searches monthly. However, note that there is a hidden search limit of 150. You will be charged extra if you happen to cross that limit. Beware!
You will have to cancel your membership manually. You will have to contact them if you want refunds or wish to close your account. You can also voluntarily opt out of their database.
The PeopleFinders server checks publically available, digitized records for information about the target person. The information is retrieved and neatly laid out in a report for you. Note that they can’t check non-digitized sources like county records.
PeopleFinders is very good for casual searches like looking up people’s phone numbers. They also do a solid job of providing background reports, though these cost a pretty penny.
If you’re willing to fork up the cash, you’ll get your money’s worth with PeopleFinders. The company provides you with accurate information 9 times out of 10. When it doesn’t, they’ll give you a refund. Did we mention their awesome customer service?
Of course, PoepleFinders isn’t perfect. We don’t like their lack of transparency. And they don’t offer services like dark web scanning. But it’s by no means a deal breaker. We can honsetly recommend PeopleFinders.

]]>CheckPeople.com is a background check business. The company runs a website: www.checkpeople.com. CheckPeople.com is one of many dozens of similar businesses plying their trade on the internet.
Is CheckPeople.com worth your time, though? Is it as effective as it claims to be? Are the records generated thorough enough to warrant a subscription? We help you find out with this review:
CheckPeople.com was founded in Palo Alto, California. The team behind the company has over 20 years of experience running internet businesses. They aim to carry out background checks without burning a hole in your pocket.
The website gathers background information together from multiple sources and places it in a single report. According to the website, you can quickly look up the information you need to. They want to help you make informed choices.
What kind of information does the website provide? They can help you locate lost friends, relatives, and partners. They can help you verify online sellers and reverse lookup phone numbers. These services are just the tip of the iceberg.
As we mentioned, CheckPeople.com will dig up a ton of information on someone. The information dug up can be classified into three categories. To sum up, CheckPeople.com offers three distinct features or services:
CheckPeople.com carries out a very extensive check of a person’s background. They come through all records available to the public, which number in the billions. The information turned up is organized into an easy-to-read report.
What kind of records does CheckPeople.com trawl through? It checks addresses, arrest records, court records, criminal records, inmate records, license plate records, property owner listings, judicial records, birth records, death records, and more.
The background checks include arrest reports. If someone has an arrest record, you know to be wary. You’ll know exactly why they were arrested. You can then make an informed decision on whether to associate with them further.
Everyone has a large digital footprint. In addition to checking real-world records, CheckPeople.com also searched the internet for the people you want to learn more about. The searches target currently available as well as “lost” content.
What does currently available content include? You’ll get information about the person’s existing social media accounts, webpages, websites, YouTube channels, and other digital property. You could Google it, but CheckPeople.com is faster.
However, CheckPeople.com also turns up “lost” content. By lost content, we mean content that’s been deleted or no longer accessible to the public. CheckPeople.com will turn up deleted websites, images, forum posts, and videos.
Reverse phone number services are in high demand. If you have a mysterious caller who constantly calls you, but hangs up when you pick up, you can potentially trace them with the service. You could also lodge a police complaint with the info.
The reverse phone number service also has other uses – like keeping someone safe. For example, if you’re worried about a child who’s always on the phone with someone but doesn’t tell you who it is, you could reverse lookup the number.
Finally, the reverse phone number service is of use to people concerned about their partner straying. The CheckPeople.com service will give you the name of the person who’s on the other end of the line, along with their approximate location.
CheckPeople.com will arrange all the information it gathers in an easy-to-understand report. Here’s a summary of all the information you can expect to receive:
Compared to other background-check businesses, CheckPeople.com is on the cheaper side. So they do live up to their claim of being value for money. However, they have some shady pricing practices, so watch out for that.
How much does CheckPeople.com cost? CheckPeople.com gives you a free trial of the website for $1. After that, you will be billed $44.85/month. For the price, you are offered unlimited searches. There are no hidden fees involved.
CheckPeople.com also has a tiered monthly plan. For $27.65 per month, you can subscribe to unlimited searches. You can also subscribe to a cheaper multi-month plan, which works out to $22.97 per month for 2 months.
CheckPeople.com also offers a cheaper Power Users plan with limited features. If you want a limited individual report on one person, you have to pay $4.95. For a more comprehensive report, you may have to pay extra.
If you’re planning to sign up for the free trial, be warned that you are charged $7 to download PDF reports. This charge isn’t mentioned anywhere on the site, except in the T&Cs fine print. There’s also a $14 monitoring fee.
The membership will automatically renew at the end of the billing term. You need to cancel by calling the CheckPeople.com customer service. They are available at 1-800-267-2122 between 9am-6pm EST. Their email is support[@]checkpeople.com.
CheckPeople.com customer service is notorious for being unresponsive. If you’ve purchased a subscription, we recommend you call at least a few days in advance before your billing term is about to end.
Is the data turned up by CheckPeople.com reliable? Going by user reviews, it’s pretty much hit-and-miss. You could get lucky and receive reliable, actionable information. Often, though, you get a report riddled with errors.
For an example of a hit, CheckPeople.com turned up information about a person’s long-lost girlfriend. The person had lost touch with their girlfriend for over 30 years but found her quickly with the help of the service.
To give you an example of a miss, a user had three criminal associates. They had a general idea of the associates’ criminal records but wanted more in-depth information. A CheckPeople.com search showed all three as having no criminal records!
CheckPeople.com may list phone number wrong. They often show a person having more associates than they actually do. Sometimes they also tell you there are sex offenders in your neighborhood when there are none.
Does CheckPeople.com provide good customer service? We can confidently say their customer service falls far short of expectations. Many users complain bitterly about the apathy displayed by CheckPeople.com customer reps.
Before we get to the customer service problems, we’ll give you an overview of the customer support you stand to receive. First, there’s a FAQs section with a reasonable amount of information, though it was a little too salesy for our liking.
Second, you can email CheckPeople.com customer care representatives at support[@]checkpeople.com. However, sometimes you’ll get an auto-response email with a number they want you to call instead, which makes email support useless.
Third, you can call CheckPeople.com at 1-800-267-2122. Their representatives are available during regular office hours, which is 9 am to 6 pm EST. You don’t get access to around the clock call support or even text-chat support.
About the problems we mentioned? CheckPeople.com representatives can be rude. If you ask for a refund, they may refuse to give it to you. They may rudely ask you to read the T&Cs again. Some may even hang up on you.
CheckPeople.com is pretty easy to use. You have to major search options: people search and the reverse phone lookup. The search bar isn’t hard to spot – it’s located smack dab in the middle of the page.
To start a search, enter the first name and the last name of the person you’re trying to search for. You don’t need to enter their current city, though you can to narrow down the search scope. You’ll have to pass a human verification check.
When the search begins, you’ll have to wait for a few minutes. CheckPeople.com searches through many digital and real-world records for information about the person. You’ll get a status bar showing the progress of the search.
After the search ends, you get a single-page digital report of the person you were searching for. At the top of the page is a menu that lets you choose which information to view, like address history, divorce records, and criminal history.
You can read through the report at your leisure. The search information will be saved to the server if you need to retrieve it later. You will be charged $1.99 if you want to download the information and save it as a PDF.
How does CheckPeople.com work? It uses a specialized algorithm to search through databases and other content available online. The website’s servers will look through everything accessible to the public on the internet.
Note that the information dug up will be internet-based. You don’t get access to offline records like, say, county criminal records. If you want access to offline content, you will have to try elsewhere.
So how effective is CheckPeople.com? Here’s a quick breakdown of their pros and cons:
All in all, CheckPeople.com offers a decent people finder service. However, their shady pricing practices and terrible customer service make them hard to recommend. Choose them only if you want cheap individual reports.
